I’ve been going to Salon 44 since I moved to Charlestown about 5 years ago, and it’s been consistently great, even more so in last few years with Allison as the new owner. I’ve had them do everything from color my hair, to apply a permanent straightener, to special glossing treatments, to blowing out an extremely curly and thick head of hair and I’ve been very happy every time. I’ve also been to almost all of the stylists – Allison, Britney, and Cheryl are all great, as are the rest of the staff. It’s a very friendly and comfortable environment, reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it!

I’ve been getting my haircut for years here and it’s always great. They always find a way to fit me in and not rush me. I brought a couple of female friends to get their nails done a few months ago and they are now regulars. It’s easy to park here and it’s not Newbury St. prices. I’d highly recommend this place for guys and ladies.

Can’t say enough great things about Salon 44. I spent years trying places recommended by friends. They were OK, but I often felt I was just a customer. And many were pretty expensive. So I decided to try the little place in my neighborhood and 5 years later have never even thought about going anywhere else. And even though now they have gotten much busier, Alison (the owner) always finds a way to squeeze me in, even if it means staying open late. And best of all at $25 – it’s the best value in town for a great haircut every time – from friendly people who provide a great experience.

Honestly, I haven’t had my hair done in what seemed like forever. I have been so stressed out trying to plan my wedding in the fall and in my fog of desperation, one of my co-workers suggested I try Salon 44. It was an amazing experience, all of the staff was extremely friendly and my hair which had been done by Allison had never looked better. I quickly booked an appointment for my girlfriends and decided this was the place to get ready before my bachelorette party. Not only did we all look gorgeous but the staff really went all out providing us with drinks and hors d’oeuvre. I can’t wait for my wedding day, I know Salon 44 won’t let me down.

You will not be disappointed if you decide to go to Salon Forty Four. You will receive nothing but the best in service and product! I have always dreaded going to get my hair done until now… now I have fun and walk out of there feeling like a million bucks!

My wife and I were new in the area and needed haircuts. She called Salon Forty Four and got right in the next day with Allison, the owner. She enjoyed her experience so much that I made an appointment for a haircut and have been going back ever since. They are all great…very friendly and accommodating and we like that they remember us every time we call and come in. I have also had a cut with one of the other stylists and she did a good job too.
